In the future, personal computers have developped into “Persocons”, mobile computers that look like human beings. Hideki Motosuwa, a prep school student, desperately wants to buy a Persocon but cannot afford to. One day he finds a Persocon that has been thrown away and decides to keep it. When he turns on the Persocon, all she can say is “Chii” so he decides to name her that. After a while it starts to become apparent that Chii is more than an average Persocon. Having much better performance, it seems that Chii might be a “Chobit”, a type of advanced Persocon rumoured to have independent thought.

Na ką, štai atėjo nauji metai… 2006… Hm… Allready that much time has passed… It really feels strange… Visi juos turime sutikti savaip… Mane labiausiai traukia Japonijos kultūra… Nežinau kodėl… Krikščionių “Kalėdos” labiau sukasi aplink Jėzų, o Japonijos piliečiai “Kalėdas” sutinka labiau, kaip Valentino dieną… Meilė… Ach… Kur be meilės šiom dienom.. Honto… For real, we have it and give it too rarelly… Is it that painfull to give some love? Why can't we be more friendlly? Is it that hard? The feeling, that you have much and good friends makes you really happy. If you ever had a friend, a real friend, you'ld understand. I have one. He's a true friend and I really like him. He would be the one, that I could allways call a true friend. So I wish that for all of you this year would be with most love and passion. Ja ne ^^v
